Physical activity: Fit 4 Study

Self-Paced Online Module

Did you know? Only 3 in 10 university students meet the recommended guidelines for sufficient physical activity. Even more alarming is that close to 7 in 10 university students experience some form of poor mental health. Physical activity has been shown to be an effective preventative strategy for mental health. The Fit4Study self-paced module is for any university student who either has no prior experience with physical activity but is willing to learn how they can get started or is already active but wants to know how they can remain active when things get busy or tough during university life.

The module takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Please click on the button below to access the module.

“Live” facilitated group courses

The Fit 4 Study course is an evidence-informed 4-session group program that shows you how to get started with physical activity and strategies for staying active when things get busy or tough.

Watch this video to hear why being physically active is helpful for students.

“I really liked the people that were in my [Fit 4 Study] course.... it was very clear to me that they each had some sort of passion or interest in what they were talking about and that made it very enjoyable for me. I wanted to logon on Fridays to join the group. It wasn't something that I had to do.”
- UQ Student feedback

Group courses will run once per semester, starting in April and in September. Once you register your interest a team member will contact you with further information.
